Pilot Projects Program

The Pilot Project Program will provide a fiscal resource and mentoring for junior investigators, postdoctoral fellows, and those new to health disparity research by providing resources to facilitate the conduct of high-quality, high-impact research that disproportionately affects minority populations or that addresses health disparities.

We will provide a mechanism for investigators to apply for funding three times year, one month prior to the NIH review grant cycle due dates. Detailed Calls for Applications will be sent out via email. Follow the link above for the current Call for Applications. Applicants will work with the Pilot Project Program Director, Dr. Gerschenson, in choosing appropriate mentors and will prepare a grant for peer-review

If you plan on applying for a Cardiovascular COBRE Pilot Project grant, the RFA for that program can be found here

Note that you can only apply to one of the Pilot Project Programs.
